Fate/stay Night 2014 News

In January of 2006, Studio Deen animated an adaptation of Type-Moon's first commercial work, Fate/stay Night, based on the Fate scenario.

In January 2010, Studio Deen produced a Fate/stay Night Movie, based on the Unlimited Blade Works route.

In October 2011, an adaptation of Fate/Zero (the prequel to Fate/stay night) aired, produced by Ufotable.

Now, three years later, Ufotable announced another anime adaptation of Fate/stay Night. Scheduled to air in October 2014, the storyline will have original content scripted by Kinoko Nasu. Ufotable has said that they plan to “properly write Shirou Emiya as a protagonist”. they’re attempting to create their adaptation of Fate/Stay Night independently of Fate/Zero, since Zero was able to be what it is using the original Fate/Stay Night game as a foundation. Following AnimeJapan 2014, a new site for the upcoming anime has presented the latest visual. According to the site, the cast so far remains unchanged from Studio Deen's version:
  • Noriaki Sugiyama as Shirou Emiya
  • Ayako Kawasumi as Saber
  • Kana Ueda as Rin Tohsaka
  • Junichi Suwabe as Archer
  • Noriko Shitaya as Sakura Matou
  • Mai Kadowaki as Illyasviel von Einzbern
  • Nobutoshi Canna as Lancer
  • Miki Itou as Taiga Fujimura
  • Jouji Nakata as Kirei Kotomine
  • Rikiya Koyama as Kiritsugu Emiya

Takahiro Miura (Kara no Kyoukai 6: Boukyaku Rokuon, Fate/Zero) is on board as Director, and the character designers include Tomonori Sudo (Kara no Kyoukai, Fate/Zero, Coyote Ragtime Show), Hisayuki Tabata (Yuyushiki), and Atsushi Ikariya (Fate/Zero, Devil is a Part Timer). From what I've seen it looks pretty good so far, with some characters getting new outfits. Personally, I want to see a Heaven's Feel adaptation in the same vein as Fate/Zero.

Loving Shirou's new jacket!
Gotta love Rin...So cute :3
With his luck, Lancer will die pretty early...again.
Unlimited Blade Works, Nuff said.
Wouldn't be Fate/stay Night without Saber ;)

So what do you guys think? Looking forward to the anime? And which route do you think Type-Moon will go?
